Kathmandu — An 18D cinema based on cutting-edge technology has come into operation at City Center, Kamalpokhari. The cinema was launched on the special occasion of the New Year and was inaugurated by actor Rajesh Hamal.
During the event, Hamal himself experienced the 18D cinema. He shared that the 18D technology made him feel as though he was part of every scene. He said it was an incredibly thrilling experience unlike anything he had encountered before. Located on the third floor of City Center, the cinema can accommodate only 10 viewers at a time.
Operated by Ram Thapa and Himal Gurung of Flyover Entertainment, this cinema gives viewers the sensation of being immersed in the film’s reality through a combination of visuals, sound, motion, wind, and vibration.
According to operator Gurung, audiences can watch exciting and adventurous short films lasting between 5 to 30 minutes, including journeys to the age of dinosaurs, deep-sea explorations, space battles, and jungle adventures.
