Kathmandu – For the first time, Rajesh Hamal has spoken openly about the title of “Mahanayak” (Superstar). Until now, he had not commented on this topic, although other artists have often courted controversy by speaking about the “Mahanayak” title.
Regarding the title, Rajesh says , “I am happy to have received this title. I am also grateful to those who considered me worthy of it.” He adds, “After receiving the ‘Mahanayak’ title, I did not take it too seriously. I didn’t start thinking, ‘Oh, I’ve received such a grand title—what should I do now, how should I maintain it?’ I simply continued doing my work, and I’m still consistently working.”
He implies that had he thought, “Now that I’ve received the highest title, I can stop working,” he would not have reached where he is today. He shares that the title was lovingly given by the audience and listeners, which is why he feels motivated to keep doing better.
