Kathmandu — Renowned Indian voice artist Amit Deondi has arrived in Kathmandu to conduct a three-day voice acting and dubbing training program. Organized by the Film Development Board Nepal, the training will begin on Sunday. Deondi landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday at 10 AM.
Speaking to journalists at the airport during his first visit to Nepal, Deondi said that in today’s digital world, audiences can easily watch content from around the globe. “Language plays a crucial role in making content accessible,” he said, adding that there are many opportunities for voice dubbing work in the Nepali language. He also said the three-day training will focus on sharing his professional experience and practical techniques in voice acting and dubbing.
Chairperson of the Film Development Board Nepal, Dinesh DC, said the board has been implementing various skill development programs and has planned training sessions in 14 different fields, with voice acting given special priority. According to him, the board has already organized several training programs in the past and invited Deondi from India to share advanced voice acting techniques with Nepali participants.

Dinesh DC also informed that the board will conduct additional training programs within the month of Chaitra, including drone training, film light gaffer training, makeup training, an AI workshop, photo and video journalism training, and swimming training.
The three-day voice acting and dubbing training will run daily for two hours starting at 10:30 AM and is being managed by Samrat Films. The company, led by Bharat Kandel, has recently been working on dubbing and sound mixing for several Nepali films. Kandel has more than 15 years of experience working in Mumbai’s sound industry. Samrat Films is also responsible for the Nepali-language dubbing of videos by the world-famous YouTuber MrBeast.
Deondi was welcomed at the airport by a team including filmmaker and chairperson Dinesh DC’s personal secretary Janak Khadka and Samrat Films’ Bharat Kandel.
Amit Deondi has worked on voice dubbing and script writing for more than 3,000 series and films on global platforms such as Amazon and Netflix. He is also known for voicing the character Mickey Online in the popular animated series Motu Patlu.
