Kathmandu — The release date of the Nepali feature film Roll No. 1 has been officially announced. The makers revealed that the film will hit theaters on Jestha 15, 2083 (May 28, 2026), coinciding with Nepal’s Republic Day.
The announcement was made on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami (Saraswati Puja). In a symbolic gesture, the production team unveiled the release date at Pathik Gyan Niketan, the school attended by the film’s child actors.
Produced under the banner of Seven Seas Cinema, Roll No. 1 will be released simultaneously in Nepal and overseas, according to producer Binod Poudel.
Directed by John Yonjan, the film is based entirely on child psychology. The story is written by Mahesh Dawadi, and the film features Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, and Srijana Adhikari in lead roles, alongside child actors Nirbhik Regmi, Rinchen Lama, Sanyam Katuwal, and Sijal Shrestha.
The film was shot across various scenic and rural locations of Myagdi district. Roll No. 1 will be distributed by Rich Entertainment and JM Cinema.
