Kathmandu — Actor Prabhatpal Thakuri has been signed as one of the lead actors in the upcoming film Jadau, which is based on an inter-caste love story. Prabhatpal, a popular and busy model and actor in recent times, will be seen opposite actress Niti Shah in the film. The film’s director has not yet been officially announced, but the writer and concept developer is Kaji Limbu.
The film Jadau, which features a strong lineup of cast members, had already signed Mukun Bhusal, Niti Shah, Richa Sharma, and Binod Neupane before Prabhatpal. Expressing his excitement, Prabhatpal Thakuri said he feels honored to share the screen with senior actors and is preparing intensively for the role.
The film is a joint production of Silver Screen Entertainment and Samishran Movies & Entertainment. Co-producers include Ramraja Subedi, Om Chemjong, Sumitra Devkota, and Narayan Shastri. The production management is handled by Buddhi Majhi. According to Silver Screen’s Managing Director Bimala Bhandari, filming is scheduled to begin in the first week of Bhadra (mid-August).
With music by Babul Giri and cinematography by Shyam Tamang, the film will be shot in various locations in Dang and Pyuthan. The production team is also preparing to hold a press meet in a few days to reveal more detailed information about the film.
