Kathmandu: Actor Sabin Shrestha has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Nepali film A Bata Aama 2, directed and produced by Chandra Pant. The filmmaker signed Shrestha for one of the film’s major roles.
Previously, actors Paul Shah, Bipana Thapa and Aakash Shrestha had already been confirmed for the project. The film’s auspicious launch ceremony was held on Monday morning at Banglamukhi Temple.
The original film A Bata Aama became a superhit last year, and the new project is its sequel. Along with Paul Shah, Bipana Thapa, Aakash Shrestha, and Sabin Shrestha, the film will also feature Pradeep Rawat, Gajit Bista and Naren Khadka in key roles.
However, the production team has not yet revealed the name of the film’s lead actress, keeping the casting under wraps for now.
The movie is slated for release during the upcoming Dashain festival and is expected to go on floors within the next few weeks. The story and screenplay have been written by director Chandra Pant himself. Distribution rights have been acquired by RR Films, while the digital rights are secured by OSR. The film is being produced under the Arya Entertainment banner, with Karan Singh Rasali serving as the production manager.
