Kathmandu – Comedian Sajan Shrestha has filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau of the police, stating that he and his family are unsafe. He shared this information through social media on Sunday after lodging the complaint.
According to Sajan, a Facebook account named Ridaya Tamrakar has threatened him and even issued rape threats against his sisters. He publicly shared the complaint he submitted to the police via social media and demanded legal action against the culprit under Section 47 of the Electronic Transactions Act.
Sajan claimed that he uploaded a video on Facebook on the 4th of Falgun, and a day later, a Facebook profile under the name Ridaya Tamrakar posted a picture of his family and threatened him and his family in the comment section.
Last week, a complaint was also filed at the Kathmandu Police Complex against Sajan, along with comedians Utsav Sapkota, Sujan Jimba, and podcaster Sushant Pradhan, accusing them of mocking singer Kumar Sagar.
