Kathmandu: The official teaser of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Janai Harayeko Manchhe: Sambandhka Dhagaharu’ has been released. The teaser captures a compelling blend of dreams, struggles, love, and betrayal.

Opening with a wedding scene, the teaser centers around the main character, played by Vijay Baral, and his dream of going to Korea. It showcases his emotional exchange with his father over this dream and the betrayal he faces from a fellow villager upon arriving in Kathmandu.

The teaser highlights how a dream, pursued without proper knowledge or preparation, can lead to confusion and despair. The protagonist, who sets out to relieve his family from hardship, ends up trapped in a vicious cycle of suffering. Amidst this journey, the teaser also touches on romance and fleeting moments of happiness.

Alongside Vijay Baral, the film stars Keki Adhikari, Miruna Magar, Sushank Mainali, and Bhola Raj Sapkota. Directed by Himal Neupane, ‘Janai Harayeko Manchhe’ is set to hit theaters on Bhadra 6 (August 22, 2025).

Actor Manish Raut, known for ‘Prem Geet 3’, has worked as the associate director. The film boasts a strong lineup, featuring performances from Rear Rai, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, and Suman Thapa.

Produced under the banner of Paperclip, the film is backed by producers Kamal Neupane and Bimal Neupane, with executive producers Narayan Timilsina, Chudamani Sibakoti, R.K. Manandhar, C.R. Basnet, Philip D.C., and James Maharjan.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues are penned by Bhanubhakta Dhakal. The film features music from Thaneshwor Gautam, Arjun Pokharel, SD Yogi, and Prashant Sibakoti. It includes DOP work by Navin Gurung, cinematography by Krishna Pariyar, and assistant direction by Dinesh Bahadur Raut, among others.

Other technical credits include teaser editing by Sahil Khan, coloring by Suprim Parajuli, choreography by Sunil Kshetri, and action direction by Chulthe Kaji. Laxmanraj Paudel served as the production controller.

The film will be distributed by Kafiya Films, led by Govinda Shahi.

Following the All-Time Blockbuster success of ‘Purnabahadurko Sarangi’, this marks Vijay Baral’s first lead role of the year. He also recently won the National Film Award for Best Actor for ‘Purnabahadurko Sarangi’.

The ‘Janai Harayeko Manchhe’ team honored Vijay Baral and editor Bharat Regmi on Monday after they both received National Awards for Best Actor and Best Editing, respectively, at a ceremony held at the Presidential Residence in Maharajgunj.
