Teaser of ‘Paralko Aago’ Released, Featuring Intense Conflict Between Suhana Thapa and Prakash Saput

Kathmandu – The teaser of the upcoming Nepali film “Paralko Aago” has been officially released. The production team unveiled the teaser through the OSR YouTube channel, giving audiences a glimpse of the film’s intense rural drama.

The teaser portrays a heated conflict between a husband and wife, played by Prakash Saput and Suhana Thapa. In the scene, the husband becomes furious after his wife returns late from the village water tap and begins beating her. When neighbors, portrayed by Saugat Malla and his on-screen wife, attempt to intervene, the husband insists that others should not interfere in a couple’s dispute. The teaser reflects social realities often seen in rural Nepali society.

Set against a village backdrop with traditional baskets and a mountainous environment, the teaser attempts to highlight the cultural and social aspects of rural Nepal. The recently released poster, unveiled on the occasion of International Women’s Day, also reflects the authenticity and traditional lifestyle of Nepali villages.

The film is inspired by the classic literary work “Paralko Aago” by renowned Nepali writer Guru Prasad Mainali. Along with Suhana Thapa, Prakash Saput, and Saugat Malla, the film also features Sirjana Adhikari, Kishor Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Nyaupane and child actor Manjila Baniya.

Produced under the banner of Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., the film is directed by Laxman Sunar with investment from Sushil Pokharel. The screenplay is written by Sushil Devkota. Cinematography is handled by Sankalp Bhujel, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane and editing by Milan Shrestha, while color grading is done by Kanal Kunwar.

The film’s VFX is managed by Sameer Miya and Satyam Rana, with teaser and trailer editing by Sahil Khan. Sound mixing is done by Mukesh Shah, and production coordination is handled by Nagendra Ghimire.

Background music is composed by Kiran Tuladhar, while the film’s songs feature music by Shanti Thatal, Satya Swarup Acharya and Prakash Saput. Lyrics are written by Man Bahadur Mukhiya, Surendra Rana and Prakash Saput.

Art direction is handled by Pratik Chaudhary, while Karan Bahadur Saud serves as the chief assistant director. The film is produced by Sulabhi Pokharel and Satyam Pokharel. Distribution across Nepal will be handled by RR Films, while digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.

The story “Paralko Aago”, originally included in the “Naso” collection by Guru Prasad Mainali, was previously adapted into a film about 45 years ago by director Pratap Subba. According to producer Sushil Pokharel, the new film aims to preserve the essence of the original story while presenting it in a fresh and modern cinematic style. The film is scheduled for nationwide release in Nepal from Baisakh 11.
