Kathmandu – On the first day of the New Year 2082 (Bikram Sambat calendar), a new film was officially announced alongside the New Year celebrations. Under the banner of Om Vayuputra Films Production, the film titled Pushpalata has been formally introduced. The film will be written and directed by Sunil Niure and will fall under the love story genre.
The production team has not yet revealed the lead actors of the movie. Director and writer Niure shared that Pushpalata will depict a unique love story that differs from the typical romantic narratives currently being made. Though Niure has previously worked as an assistant director and writer in several films, this marks his debut as a director on the big screen.
Two theme posters of the film have also been released, giving a glimpse into the romantic nature of the story. The film’s casting director is Sanjog Rasailee. Lyrics for the film will be written by Hark Saud, while the music will be composed by Sushant Gautam, Prashant Shivakoti, and Jayan J. Waiba. The production designer is Prakash Hamal.
The film, which will blend romance and family drama, is scheduled to begin filming in the upcoming Bhadra month (August–September). Costume designers for the film are Bonika Karki and Reet Khadka. Om Vayuputra Films Production has stated that the remaining technical crew and cast members will be announced later.
