Kathmandu — The Nepali film Mahabhoj, which was released in theaters on June 13, is now available on the Nepali OTT platform MSM Video. Viewers around the world can now watch the movie from home via the app on mobile phones, televisions, or computers.
Directed by Dinesh Raut, Mahabhoj is a socio-political drama based on Nepal’s cooperative fraud scandal, political corruption, and the struggle of ordinary citizens in search of justice. The story follows a bank employee who, when asking his father for money he urgently needs, discovers that the savings have been trapped in a cooperative. The narrative then unfolds through the ensuing struggle, rebellion, and quest for the truth.
Produced by Himal Kadariya and written by Bikash Subedi, Mahabhoj features performances by Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraily, Gaumaya Gurung, Malika Mahat, Basundhara Bhusal, Mohan Niraula, Buddhi Tamang, Kamal Mani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung, Binod Nyaupane, and Abha Aryal, among others.
