Kathmandu — The filming of the Nepali romantic movie “Kumari”, directed by Dinesh Raut, has been fully completed. The shooting, which began on Bhadra 17, was officially wrapped up on Saturday. Although filming has concluded, the release date is expected to be announced within a few days. Director Raut said that the final release date will be decided after evaluating the progress of post-production.

Earlier, “Kumari” had already gained attention during its shooting phase. The song “Kata Chhau Mero Phool”, performed live at the announcement event, had gone viral on the internet. Singer Keher Singh, who is currently on a nationwide concert tour, has also been performing the song due to high audience demand. The live version sung by Limbu and his band “Keher and The Lunga” is extremely popular on TikTok and YouTube. However, the studio version of the song—one of the most used by Gen-Z TikTok users will only be released along with the film.

Through this film, Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari are making their debut in lead roles. Alongside them, Ghanshyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Akanksha Karki, Madhu Khadka, Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane, Manisha Sharma, and Bhupi Luhar will also appear in the film.

The film’s cinematography has been directed by Susan Prajapati. It is produced by Mahendra Adhikari under Binish Entertainment in collaboration with Picture Frame. The script is written by Bikash Subedi. The posters and publicity designs are done by Royal Bhimsen (Trident Concept).

Kumari features four songs, all sung by Keher Limbu. The music is jointly composed by Keher Singh Limbu, Suman Tamang, and Prashant Siwakoti. The lyrics are written by Sagar Lamichhane Magar, Suman Tamang, and Yuvaraj Kafle.

According to the production team, the goal is to release “Kumari” within this year. With the announcement of the completion of filming, the makers have said they will now fully focus on post-production.
