
Kathmandu – Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand has been crowned Miss World. On Saturday evening, during a ceremony held at Hitex in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, the 71st Miss World winner, Krystyna Pyszkova, crowned Opal as the winner of the 72nd edition.
In the competition, Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje secured the second position, while Aurélie Joachim from Martinique came in third. This year’s grand finale was co-hosted by Miss World 2016, Stephanie Del Valle, and Indian presenter Sachin Kumbhar.
From Nepal, Srichha Pradhan represented the country, while Nandini Gupta from India was among the 108 contestants from around the world who participated in the Miss World competition.
