Kathmandu — Nepal’s first science fiction film, “Eklo: One,” has released its first song titled “Eklai Bachnu” (Living Alone). Sung beautifully by Shanti Shree Pariyar, the song stands out as distinct and different from typical Nepali film songs. The video features Kavita Nepali showcasing graceful dance moves. Since its release, the song has been receiving positive comments and praise.
Released on Tuesday, the song also announced the film’s release date—Poush 17 (around early January). Alongside the lead actress Kavita Nepali, Sagar Rana also appears in the music video. The lyrics are written by Swapnil Sharma, with Rohit Shakya composing the music, and vocals by the renowned folk singer Shanti Shree Pariyar.
The song expresses the emotions of women, revealing the pain of domestic life and the feeling of loneliness, while delivering a message of strength—encouraging one to live independently rather than spend life in sorrow.
Directed and written by Pradeep Shahi, the film stars Kavita Nepali, Pradeep Khadka, Benisha Hamal, Dinesh DC, Suraj Singh Thakuri, and British actor Jamie Bacon.
