
Kathmandu – The trailer for the movie Feri Resham Filili has been released. The three-minute trailer provides detailed insights into the storyline and character portrayals. It begins with the main character, Resham, running towards a plane to go to America and ends with the introduction of Mahadev’s character. The trailer revolves around the central theme of the American dream.
The film tells the story of Resham, who dreams of going to America through the Diversity Visa (DV) program. It highlights how Nepali society perceives the idea of going abroad, along with themes of marriage and obstacles. The storyline is built around the main character’s struggles and hardships in his pursuit of reaching America.
During a press conference held on Tuesday to unveil the trailer, the film’s producers, director, and cast provided insights into the movie. Lead actors Vinay Shrestha and Supushpa Bhatt stated that the film portrays Nepalese society’s obsession with the American dream.
Written and directed by Niroj Maharjan, the film stars Binaya Shrestha, Supushpa Bhatt, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Neer Shah, Laxmi Giri, Prakash Ghimire, Rabindra Jha, Shishir Bangdel, Mahesh Tripathi, Mexam Gaudel, and Avanraj Upreti. Feri Resham Filili is set for a nationwide release on Fagun 14 (February 26, 2025) on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
