Kathmandu — With just a week left before its public release, the trailer of the film “Jerry on Top” has created a sensation on social media. Released on YouTube on Friday afternoon, the trailer climbed to number one in Nepal in less than 24 hours. Currently, the Jerry on Top trailer holds the top position on YouTube’s trending chart in Nepal. In addition, it has entered the top 10 trending list in more than a dozen countries. The trailer has received widespread praise in countries with a large Nepali population.
Uploaded on Budha Subba Digital’s YouTube channel, the digital partner, the trailer has been viewed nearly 350,000 times so far, with over 21,000 likes and around 3,000 comments, all of which are overwhelmingly positive. Featuring superstar Anmol KC, who is returning to the big screen after one and a half years, the film has already been dubbed the most anticipated Nepali movie of 2082 (2025) on social media.
The trailer has received high praise for its performances, Himalayan visuals, direction, cinematography, background score, and editing. Directed by Suyog Gurung and edited by Shahil Khan, the film is produced by Saroj Neupane under the banner of Ananya Films.
Alongside Anmol KC, the film stars Aanchal Sharma, Jassita Gurung, Bhuvan KC, Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha), Sushma Pant, and Usha Khadgi. Jerry on Top is set to hit theaters nationwide on Ashoj 31 (October 17, 2025). Reel Entertainment holds the distribution rights in the Kathmandu Valley, while FD Company will handle distribution outside the capital. According to producer Neupane, there is high international demand for the film as well.
