Kathmandu – The official trailer of the Nepali film “Dhago”, produced in India’s Dooars region, has been released. The trailer highlights the essence of the film, portraying emotional family bonds, the daily struggles caused by financial hardship, and the poignant depiction of social adversity.

The trailer primarily showcases the daily problems arising from a family’s economic difficulties and their struggle to overcome them. It also reflects the social challenges and harsh circumstances faced during such struggles, while emotionally presenting the relentless efforts of parents to fulfill their children’s dreams and desires. The pain of separation is also captured in the trailer. Despite its serious storyline, the film includes moments of humor to give the audience brief relief.

Directed by Udeep Rana Thapa, the film is woven around the lives of Nepali families living in the Nepal–India border region, focusing on their cultural ties and the emotional “thread” (Dhago) that connects them. The director has said that the film reflects the sensitive situations that arise when the thread of relationships within a family weakens.

Actress Sushrita Pant plays the lead role in the film, alongside Prabhat Thapa, Surabhi Thapa, Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, and others. Actress Barsha Raut will make a special cameo appearance.

The film is produced by Film Magnet Entertainment Production House, with Uma Thapa, Uttam Thapa, and Udeep Thapa serving as the production team. Cinematography direction has been done by Bollywood’s Aniker M. Ghogh.

Dhago is set to release simultaneously in theaters across Nepal and India on Kartik 28 (November 14). In Nepal, it will be distributed by RR Films.
