Kathmandu – The shooting of the film Jari 2 has begun. Filming started in the eastern hilly district of Panchthar. The film is written and directed by Upendra and produced by Rambabu. The lead pair from Jari, Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar, are reprising their roles in this sequel. Photos from the film set show them in character. Set to be released during the Dashain festival, the film will also feature performances by Richa Sharma, Bijay Baral, Pushkar Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Prem Subba, Mao Tse Gurung, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, and Sirjana Ninglekhu, among others. The film is said to be based on the traditional Limbu musical instrument Chyabrung. The original Jari film was based on the cultural practice of Jari (a traditional marriage-related custom).
