“Screening rights of ‘Aa Bata Aama’ sold in Australia and New Zealand”

Kathmandu – The screening rights for the film ‘Aa Bata Aama’, which is being produced under the banner of Arya Entertainment, have been sold in Australia and New Zealand. According to the production team, Himaru Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has acquired the rights for both countries. Directed, written, and scripted by Chandra Pant, the film is already gaining international interest.

The movie presents a sensitive story centered around motherhood, and the distribution rights for Australia and New Zealand are reported to be sold out.

Director Pant mentioned that discussions are ongoing for the rights in other countries as well and updates will be shared soon. He believes that once the film is completed, international demand will increase further. In recent times, the popularity of Nepali films has surged not only in Nepal but also abroad. The buzz around this project has also grown due to the casting of actor Paul Shah and TikTok queen Usha Upreti.

Alongside Paul Shah and Usha Upreti, the film will also feature evergreen actress Bipana Thapa, Simran Pant, and popular South Indian actor Pradeep Rawat. These cast members have already been finalized for the project.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting later this month. The selection of other cast members and technical crew is currently ongoing and will be finalized soon, according to the production team. The screening rights have been acquired by RR Films. The movie is set for a nationwide release on Falgun 15 of next year (approximately late February or early March 2026).
