Kathmandu- Singer Jhuma Limbu and the Raithane Band are set to organize the ‘Raithane Travel Concert 2082’ in collaboration with the upcoming film ‘Jaari 2’, which is scheduled for release on Asoj 3 (Nepali calendar). The concert tour will kick off on Bhadra 21 at LOD Club in Thamel, Kathmandu. At the event, the team from the soon-to-be-released film ‘Jaari 2’ will also perform the traditional Chyabrung dance.

As part of the Raithane Travel Concert, Jhuma Limbu will perform in 10 different cities across Nepal, presenting solo performances with her band. In addition, each concert will highlight local art, culture, and music specific to the region, as emphasized by the singer.

The objective of this musical journey is to promote cultural identity. The performances will focus on local folk music and dance traditions such as Hakpare Palam, Chyabrung, Ghatu, Sorathi, Deuda, and Maruni, showcasing Nepal’s diverse cultural heritage. According to Limbu, folk music is not just a source of entertainment but a reflection of Nepal’s authentic cultural lifestyle, history, and communal unity.

“We hope this journey will bring our culture and music closer to the new generation. ‘Raithane Travel’ will act as a bridge connecting the music and culture of both villages and cities,” she said.

This year, the Raithane Travel Concert will be held only within Nepal, but next year, Jhuma Limbu plans to take it abroad. Each performance will celebrate local artists, instruments, and cultural diversity, with a focus on honoring and showcasing regional uniqueness. More details and events under the ‘Raithane Travel’ banner will be gradually revealed.
