Kathmandu — The emotional trailer of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Shri Bukuro: The Home Calling’ has been released ahead of its nationwide theatrical release on Falgun 1, coinciding with the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
Set in a rural backdrop, the film highlights family bonds, emotional connections and everyday conflicts. The trailer, presented in a poetic narration style, focuses mainly on the character played by Laxmi Giri, portraying her dream of building a small home, seeing her sons get married and finding happiness in family togetherness.
The 3-minute and 33-second long trailer reflects the inner emotions, desires and struggles of the characters, while giving a brief glimpse of the film’s family-oriented storyline. The makers describe the film as a purely family and entertainment-based drama.
The film is written and directed by Sudip Bhupal Singh, who returns to direction after nine years. He previously directed the films Maala and Rudrapriya.
Produced under the banner of Film Range, the film features Aashirwad Kshetri, Laxmi Giri, Nikita Acharya, Pratikraj Acharya, Roshni Karki, Rajan Ishan, Deepika Thapa, Laya Sangraula, Mohan Niraula, Rambabu Regmi, Rashmi Bhatt, Uttam KC, Gita Thapa, Sapana Shrestha, Ashika Shahi, Dipak Karki and Rajina Bishwakarma in key roles. The film is produced by Ruby Sen Singh.
The cinematography by Sanjay Lama and Rajesh Shrestha was carried out in Mustang, Baglung, Kaski, Damauli, Makwanpur and Kathmandu. Editing is handled by Banish Shah, Chandan Dutta and Parichhed Sen.
The film’s music is composed by Ranjit Gajmer, Basanta Sapkota and Bikram Karki, with vocals by Shiva Pariyar, Bishesh Paudel, Yukti Bimali, Sabin Subedi and Sandesh Paudel.
