Kathmandu — Actress Jassita Gurung has officially been signed for the upcoming film Paras, to be directed by Krisha Chaulagain. The production team confirmed her casting on Saturday, adding fresh excitement around the project. Earlier, actor Nikhil Upreti had already been announced as part of the film, and Jassita’s inclusion has further heightened public interest.
There is growing speculation that Jassita will be paired opposite Nikhil Upreti, although the production team has yet to make an official confirmation regarding their on-screen pairing. Details about the rest of the cast are also being kept under wraps, which has fueled curiosity among audiences. Director Chaulagain stated that the cast is being finalized gradually in line with the story’s requirements.
Based on action and social themes, Paras is expected to present Jassita in a powerful and impactful role. The potential pairing of Nikhil and Jassita is being seen as a fresh combination that could offer a new cinematic experience for viewers. According to the director, formal contracts have already been signed with the actors.
Produced under the banner of KP Films, Paras has been written by Indian screenwriter Sachin Ladiya. Cinematography will be handled by renowned DOP Purushottam Pradhan. Having previously directed Aicho Paicho and Pitambar, Paras marks Krisha Chaulagain’s third directorial venture. The film is scheduled to go on floors from Falgun.
