Kathmandu. The movie Laj Sharanam has received a good response from the public even on its first ‘off day’ after the holiday season. On Sunday, the afternoon screenings after 2 PM saw good crowds. The movie has performed well both in the city center halls and on the peripheries, according to the distributors and producers. Even on a non-holiday, the positive occupancy of the film indicates that it is likely to continue performing well for the remainder of the weekend and even throughout the upcoming holidays.
The production team is ecstatic with the positive word from the people. With the backing of the people, they are confident that the business of the film will continue to grow. Overall, from Sunday to Thursday, without holidays, there is less demand for the audience, but the positive response on Sunday means that business for the movie will keep increasing. The audience especially appreciates the characters played by Mahesh Tripathi and Dhurmus, and they have appreciated the movie for its modern themes. It is being called a must-watch movie by audiences due to its blend of social causes and humor, something the producers indicate has made the movie popular.

The producers of the hit comedy TV serial Sakkigoni have produced the film. Sitaram Kattel is in the lead role of Laj Sharanam, while Vijay Baral, Arjun Ghimire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niroula, Priyana Acharya, Mahesh Tripathi, Arpan Thapa, Renu Yogi, bijay Lama, Mukund Shrestha, and Mala Limbu are in supporting roles. The movie is produced under JP Creation banner by Navin Shrestha as producer and Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka as co-producers. The film is directed by Kumar Kattel. The film grossed 1 crore 10 lakh rupees on its opening day.
