Poojana Pradhan Joins the Cast of Maharajadhiraj Midway Through Filming

Kathmandu: Actress Poojana Pradhan has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Nepali film Maharajadhiraj. She was signed midway through the film’s production, with the announcement made on Monday during the movie’s 33rd day of shooting.

Presenter Biraj Bista said the team had been searching for a strong performer to take on the role.

“We were looking for an accomplished actress, and that’s why we brought Poojana on board. Her addition has made our team even stronger,” Bista said.

The film is currently being shot at various locations across Kathmandu. Production began on Shrilanka Tapu in Sunsari before moving to the capital, with several scenes also filmed in Bhaktapur. The production is scheduled for a total of 70 shooting days.

Directed by Parichhed Sen, Maharajadhiraj is described as a social period drama, with cinematography by Nabaraj Thapa.

The film features an ensemble cast including Aryan Sigdel, Ramesh Upreti, Pushpa Khadka, Pooja Sharma, Keki Adhikari, Usha Rajak, Gajit Bista, Jay Kishan Basnet, Mohan Niraula, Dinesh D.C., and Sushil Sitoula.

Additional cast members include Hiuwala Gautam, Priya Rijal, Nir Shah, Bishal Pahadi, Asha Poudel, Pushkar Karki, Monika Budhathoki, Kabita Puri, Srishti Khadka, Kuldeep Adhikari, and Kamal Devkota.

The film boasts a cast of around 80 actors, with Kamal Gaule, Shishir Bhandari, Shibu Pandey, Hemanta Budhathoki, Pralinsha Koirala, Anju Rasaili, Sanam Shrestha, Sujen Thapa, Ayushma Giri, Ramhari Khadka, Suwarna Dulal, Anita Giri, Paras Bastakoti, Kul Bahadur Oli, Sapana Ghising, and Pooja Budha also appearing in key roles.

Produced under the banner of Chatreshwor Management Pvt. Ltd., the film is written by director Parichhed Sen himself. Rabi Khadka and Topendra Bista serve as the producers.
