Kathmandu: The singing reality show Sikkim Idol is expanding its reach internationally with its third season, allowing aspiring singers from anywhere in the world to participate.
Previously, the competition was exclusively open to talents from within Sikkim. However, announcing a major change at a press conference held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the organizing team revealed that the show has now been transformed into Sikkim Idol International.
Under the new format, individuals aged 15 and above, regardless of their location, can audition for the competition.
According to the organizers, the Chief Minister of Sikkim has also supported the initiative, expressing the need to take Sikkim Idol to an international platform.
Interested participants must first submit a short singing video through the designated phone number or email address for the digital audition. Those shortlisted through the digital round will then be invited for physical auditions.
Further details regarding the audition process will be available ‘Hamro Varta Television’s official Facebook page.
