Kathmandu – Miss Nepal 2020, Namrata Shrestha, is set to make her acting debut in the much-anticipated film ‘Rangi’, produced by Salon Salina Films Pvt Ltd. After previously competing in the Miss Nepal pageant and hosting popular shows, this new venture marks a significant step in her career.
Namrata expressed her excitement about the role, stating, “I agreed to work in ‘Rangi’ because I really connected with the character and the script.” Although this is her first film role, she is currently captivating audiences as the host of *Comedy Darbar*, airing on Prime Television, and has a history of hosting other reality shows. A resident of Chandragiri, Kathmandu, Namrata is a sociology student with a unique background; she has also worked as a teacher.
Her journey in the beauty pageant world began at a young age, she dreamt of becoming Miss Nepal since third grade. In 2016, she participated in the competition for the first time, finishing in the top five before claiming the crown five years later. In addition to her beauty queen status, Namrata has served as a brand ambassador for various organizations, solidifying her influence in both the fashion and entertainment industries. With ‘Rangi’ on the horizon, fans and followers eagerly await Namrata’s performance, anticipating a new chapter in her multifaceted career.
