Kathmandu – Actress Rekha Thapa’s debut play Mira is set to begin today. The play, which marks the first production by Kantipur Theatre, is based on the novel Mira written by Deepak Sinjali.
The play was initially scheduled to be staged from Thursday, the 15th (of Jestha). However, due to a protest organized in the capital by the ruling UML party and monarchists on the same day, the staging was postponed.
Mira will now be performed regularly at 5:30 PM every evening (except Wednesdays) until Asar 7 (June 21). Along with Rekha Thapa, the play features performances by Bishal Pahadi, Binda Khatiwada, Bishal Devkota, Geeta Bisht, Doresh Khatiwada, Unnat Upreti, and Sunil Khadka.
