Kathmandu — Actress and producer Nita Dhungana Adhikari is set to direct the film Sukha Dukha, and veteran actress Mithila Sharma has been signed on for a role in the project. Director and producer Adhikari confirmed Sharma’s involvement, with an official agreement signed between the production team and the actress on Sunday.
Expressing her excitement, Nita said, “We are extremely thrilled to have Mithila Sharma on board for Sukha Dukha. Perhaps this film would have felt incomplete without you. Now, we are on the path to making it complete.”
Previously, well-known Indian cinematographers Kabir Lal and Shahid Lal were signed for the film. However, the production team has not yet disclosed who the lead actors will be. Nita mentioned that details about the main cast will be announced in a few weeks.
Sukha Dukha marks Nita Dhungana’s directorial debut, and the film’s production management has been entrusted to Shankar Pandey. The director has not yet revealed information about the rest of the cast.
The film is being made under the banner of Nita Films and is scheduled for release during the upcoming Dashain festival, specifically on Phulpati. Distribution rights outside the Kathmandu Valley have been acquired by FD Company, while Rich Entertainment has secured the rights within the Valley.
