Kathmandu – Actress and producer Nita Dhungana Adhikari has signed Bipana Thapa for her upcoming directorial film Sukha Dukha. The production team officially signed Bipana on Wednesday. Previously, Nita and Bipana had worked together on the film Hraswadeergha, making this their second collaboration.
Bipana expressed her excitement at being part of Sukha Dukha, saying the story deeply touched her and that she’s thrilled to be working under Nita’s direction. She shared that she felt very connected to the narrative and is looking forward to the project.
Nita also expressed her happiness in bringing Bipana on board, highlighting that Bipana plays a significant role in the film. Nita had already signed veteran actors Mithila Sharma and Madan Krishna Shrestha for the project. She stated that more details regarding the cast and technical team will be revealed gradually.
Scheduled to begin shooting in the upcoming month of Fagun (February–March), the film will be shot by renowned Indian cinematographers Kabir Lal and Shahid Lal. Produced under the banner of Nita Films, Sukh Dukh is set to release during the Dashain festival next year, on Phulpati.
The distribution rights of the film have been acquired by FD Company for areas outside the Kathmandu Valley, while Rich Entertainment will handle distribution within the Valley.
