“Paran” film announces a prize of 1 lakh rupees here’s how you can win it

Kathmandu- The family drama film “Paran,” set to release next week (Kartik 14), has announced a cash prize of one lakh rupees to attract more viewers.

The filmmakers have launched a contest titled “Mero Paran” (“My Paran”) and announced the prize amount. To participate, interested individuals must post a photo with the person they consider their “Paran” (the dearest one in their life), write “MeroParan” in the caption, and share a few words about them. Participants must also tag the film’s official Facebook page in their post.

Contestants can post photos with anyone they regard as their Paran  be it their father, mother, both parents, husband, wife, lover, friend, brother, or sister. Among the participants, one lucky winner will be selected through a lucky draw to receive NPR 1 lakh, while 100 others will win special show tickets for the film.

Similarly, as part of the film’s promotion, volunteers will roam different parts of the city carrying QR codes of the film. Those who scan the QR code and share the trailer or song of Paran will get a chance to watch the film alongside the cast. This opportunity will be given to 50 participants. Both competitions will remain open until Kartik 20 (a week after the release).

The film is being produced with the direct involvement of Shekhar Golchha from the Golchha Organization, which has drawn special attention from the Nepali film industry. In addition, the project is co-financed by Ranjit Acharya, the head of Prisma Advertising Agency, which holds a three-decade-long legacy. The collaboration of these two influential business figures has raised expectations that Paran will be a strong and impactful film.

Paran tells the story of a father and son relationship. The lead role is played by veteran actor Nir Shah, and it is directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku)  known for the popular YouTube series Sakkigoni marking his directorial debut in cinema.

The film’s trailer, released some time ago, has received positive feedback. The cast includes Nir Shah, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushparaj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subrataraj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child actors Aryadeep Acharya and Aaravjung Adhikari.
