Kathmandu — The Nepali feature film “Lokanti”, produced under the banner of Krishan Films, is set to be released simultaneously in cinemas across the country from Friday, Mangsir 26. Along with the announcement of the release date, the first-look poster of the film has also been unveiled.
Director Ranjit Rana has presented the film as a complete family drama, placing themes such as family, love, struggle, peace, and the subtle conflicts within society at the center of the story.
Actor Esaraj Garach plays the lead role in the film. Shot in the real and natural locations of Kavre district, “Lokanti” aims to highlight the social sensitivities hidden within a family love story.
The film is produced by Santosh Nyaupane. Along with Esaraj, actress and model Richa Thapa shares on-screen chemistry, while Bimala Limbu, Kumar Nyaupane, Bikash Adhikari, Daman Rupakheti, Govinda Prabhat, and others appear in key roles. Through this film, Kumar Nyaupane and Bikash Adhikari are making their acting debut, and both are excited about their first film.
The music direction is by Bikash Chaudhary, and cinematography is by Ronish Tamang Changba. “Lokanti”, which carries an emotional and social storyline rooted in Nepali culture, is expected to offer audiences a fresh experience.
