Kathmandu – Nepali audiences are set to welcome a new family entertainer as the trailer of ‘Lokanti’, produced under the Krishan Films banner, was released in the capital ahead of its nationwide premiere on Mangsir 26 (Friday).
The 2-minute-30-second trailer introduces the film’s blend of comedy and emotional family storytelling. Cast and crew members attended the launch event, where the trailer showcased all the lead actors and hinted at a lighthearted yet culture-rooted narrative.
Written by Kaji Limbu and directed by Ranjit Rana, Lokanti positions itself as a full-fledged family drama. Actor Aseraj Garach, returning to the screen after several years, leads the film and expressed optimism that audiences will warmly embrace the project.
Produced by Santosh Neupane, the film pairs Aseraj with actress and model Richa Thapa. The cast also includes Bimala Limbu, Kumar Neupane, Bikash Adhikari, Daman Rupakheti, and Govinda Prabhat in key roles. For newcomers Kumar Neupane and Bikash Adhikari, Lokanti marks their acting debut.
Behind the scenes, the film features music by Bikash Chaudhary, cinematography by Ronish Tamang Chyangba, choreography by Ashok Rokaya, and editing by Gautam Raj Khadka with trailer editing by Sandeep Dangi. Songs for the film are contributed by Shankar Adhikari, Dr. Om Krishna Prasai, Dipendra Khadka, and Sandeep Dangi.
Rooted in Nepali cultural values and woven with emotional and social themes, Lokanti aims to offer audiences a refreshing and heartwarming cinematic experience.
