A Story of Love, Family, and Conflict Unfolds Through the Title Song of ‘Mirmire’

...

Kathmandu- The film Mirmire, written and directed by Yam Sherpa, has brought its emotional and romantic essence to audiences with the release of its title song. Titled “Mirmire Bho,” the song hints at the film’s storyline, the inner emotions of its characters, and the complexities of their relationships.

The song features vocals by singer Prakash Saput and singer Melina Rai. With lyrics and music also composed by Prakash Saput, the track centers on simple love, first attraction, and a sense of enchantment with beauty. The unspoken language of the eyes between a young man and woman, love blossoming in the heart, and the emotional waves it creates are clearly expressed through the song’s words and melody.

The video of the title song further deepens the film’s narrative. It presents a triangular love story among Dayahang Rai, Prakash Saput, and Sirjana Ninglekhu. The emotional conflict between two characters, both captivated by Sirjana’s beauty, suggests that the film will explore not only love but also confrontation and misunderstanding.

The song indicates that Mirmire is not just a love story, but also a film that delves into the complexities of relationships and the consequences of decisions. The previously released teaser, which showed an emotional bond between a father and daughter along with tensions among the three main characters, had already reinforced the depth of the story.

In the film, Dayahang Rai appears in the role of a father, while the character of his daughter is played by child artist Shaisa Gauchan. The intertwined narrative of a father–daughter relationship, love, and personal conflict seems to form the core of Mirmire.

Presented by Yarsa Films, Mirmire stars Dayahang Rai, Prakash Saput, Sirjana Ninglekhu, Mao Tse Gurung, Chhultim Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Shaisa Gauchan, Divisha Pant, Chirag Shrestha, and Namanraj Gajurel. The film is produced by Nimu Sherpa, Chhongba Lama Sherpa, and Angchhiring Sherpa, with Govinda Bohara and Sudip Kunwar as co-producers. The role of executive producer has been handled by RR Films’ operator and distributor Rohit Kattel.

With Birendra Shahi as line producer, the film also includes Sudip Kunwar as chief assistant director, Sanju Thalang Limbu in makeup, and Dilip Pant as production controller. The nationwide distribution of Mirmire has been taken on by RR Films, operated by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha.

Scheduled for release from Magh 1, Mirmire is expected to present the conflict between love, family, and life choices in a distinctive style.
