Rekha Thapa Joins Cast of Film ‘French Kiss’

Kathmandu — Superstar actress Rekha Thapa has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Nepali film French Kiss, which is currently being shot in Chitwan.

Confirming her signing, Executive Producer Saugat Basnet said that Thapa’s entry would make the film stronger, more attractive and highly anticipated.

“Rekha Thapa has remained consistently active in the Nepali film industry for a long time. She is known for her powerful performances, strong screen presence and immense popularity among audiences. With her inclusion, we believe the film will become even stronger,” Basnet said.
He added that Thapa has already established a distinct identity through several successful films and will now be seen in a new and different role in a modern love story through French Kiss.

Basnet also expressed confidence that Thapa’s experience and star power will help the film gain attention both nationally and internationally.

The production team said that French Kiss is being made to suit the tastes of the new generation and promises audiences a modern romantic story.

The film is being produced under the banner of ATF Production Pvt. Ltd. and is directed by actor-turned-director Arpan Thapa.

Arpan Thapa himself and Shambhala fame actress Thinley Lhamo play the lead roles in the film. Veteran actress Gauri Malla is also part of the main cast.

Saugat Basnet serves as the executive producer, while Subash B. Shahi is the co-producer. The film features cinematography by Sudip Baral and music by renowned singer and composer Deepak Bajracharya.

Publicity design for the film is being handled by Royal Bhimsen (Trident Concept). The makers are targeting a release within 2026.
