Kathmandu: Talent search has begun for a new Nepali film to be produced under the banner of Moonlight Motion Pictures. The production team has officially announced an open casting call for both lead and supporting roles as the film prepares to go on floors in the first week of Asar (mid-June). However, the film’s title and director have not yet been disclosed.
According to the casting announcement, the project is seeking talented actors and actresses across three age groups: 18–25, 26–35, and 36–50. Both aspiring newcomers and experienced performers are encouraged to apply.
Auditions will be held from Chaitra 12 to 14 (late March) at Kathghara Studio, located in Bhatkeko Pul, Kathmandu. Interested candidates must pre-register by calling 9808384974 before attending the audition. The production team has made it clear that only those who complete the phone registration process will be eligible to audition.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the project is the secrecy surrounding its director. While the name has not been revealed, the producers claim that a well-known and established figure from the Nepali film industry will helm the project. So far, only Moonlight Motion Pictures has been listed as the producer, with other team members and collaborators yet to be announced.
