First Song ‘Wari Bar Pari Pipalu’ from Film Kaji Released

Kathmandu — The first song from the upcoming Nepali film Kaji, set to release on May 21 (Jestha 8), has been unveiled. Titled Wari Bar Pari Pipalu, the song was launched at an event held in Kathmandu by the film’s production team.

The track features lyrics and music by renowned composer Kali Prasad Baskota, with vocals by Ganga Sonam and Karan Pariyar, both winners of Nepal Idol.

The song portrays a romantic story between a husband and wife. Its video features actors Bipin Karki and Keki Adhikari in the roles of farmers, capturing moments from their daily lives—from morning rituals to working in the fields—closely tied to the film’s narrative.

Directed by Laxman Rijal and presented by Rijal and Rijal Productions, the film also stars Garima Sharma, Hemant Budhathoki, Prakash Ghimire, Bishal Pahari, Hiunwala Gautam, Anurag Kunwar, Sandip Babu Lohani, Binod Neupane, Rashmi Bhatt, Pritika Sharma, Prashansa Subedi, Nabaraj Giri, along with child actors Dikshita Aryal, Aarav Baral, and Supala Sapkota.

According to the production team, Kaji is an emotional and socially driven film that explores various dimensions of human relationships, love, pain, and responsibility. The film is scheduled for nationwide release on Jestha 8.

The story is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, with cinematography by Raj Bhandari. The film features music by Kali Prasad Baskota, production design by Ojaswi Ojha, color grading by Shyam Kunwar, and background score by Sujil Karmacharya. Choreography is handled by Kabiraj Gahatraj, with Prakash Hamal as production head, Banish Shah as editing supervisor, and Bipin Malla as editor.

Asim Kafle serves as executive producer, while Ram Prasad Rijal, Nehan Rijal, and Bikash Raj Joshi are the producers.
