Kathmandu: The shooting of 12 Gaun 2, the sequel to the hit Nepali film 12 Gaun, has officially begun. Directed by Biraj Bhatt, the film started production on Wednesday with the shooting of a song sequence.
According to the production team, filming will take place in various locations including Kathmandu, Sindhupalchok, and Chitwan. The movie is scheduled for release during the Dashain festival on the auspicious occasion of Phulpati.
The film features a star-studded cast including Biraj Bhatt, Samir Bhatt, Anup Bikram Shahi, Kafiya Shahi, Barsha Itani, Khushi Karki, Prakash Shah, Sunil Pokharel, Kaniz Koirala, Kalu Rana, Pushkar Bhatt, Shiv Kumar Singh, Sahit Singh Thakuri and Purna Bahadur Gandharva.
The film’s cinematography will be handled by Mahesh Paudel, while the story and screenplay have been written by Santosh Sarkar. Action choreography will be led by Eastner Silva and Shankar Maharjan.
Background music for the movie will be composed by Kalacharan and Geeta Gurappa, while music direction has been handled by Yug Bhusal, Devendra Baral, and DP Khanal. The songs will feature vocals by Sugam Pokharel, Samikshya Adhikari, Prerana Singh, Kiran Bhujel, and Nishan Bhattarai.
Production management is being overseen by Bhola Subedi and Ramesh Khadka, with choreography by Sion Shrestha. Distribution rights for the Kathmandu Valley have been acquired by Kafiya Films Pvt. Ltd., while Kuber Films will distribute the movie outside the valley.
Packed with action and entertainment, 12 Gaun 2 has already generated significant anticipation among audiences.
