Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film “Akshara”, scheduled to hit theatres on September 11 (Bhadra 26), have unveiled its first-look poster as part of the film’s promotional campaign.
The poster features lead actress Nancy Khadka, sitting alone beneath a tree on a stone platform with a somber and reflective expression. Her body language, combined with the backdrop of barren trees and fallen leaves, hints at themes of loneliness, emotional struggle, and inner pain, offering audiences a glimpse into the film’s emotional narrative.
Nancy, who previously appeared in the blockbuster “12 Gaun” and will also be seen in Anmol KC’s upcoming film “Batulo Jun,” has a background in communication studies from California, USA, where she was also active in modeling. She is the winner of Miss Nepal International 2022 and represented Nepal at an international beauty pageant in Japan.
Directed by Binay Raj Poudel, Akshara stars Nancy alongside Sushil Sitoula, Sushil Pokharel, Pushkar Raut, Srishti Khadka, Uttam KC, Rista Adhikari, and several other actors, with Ronak Khadka and Preesa Dhungana appearing as child artists.
Presented by Sony Thapa (Dhungana) under the Kshit Babu Production House banner, the film is jointly produced by Ugrasen Dhungana and Sugrasen Dhungana, with the story written by Ugrasen himself. The screenplay and dialogues are by Abhimanyu Nirabi and director Poudel.
The film features music by Karnaraj Giri, lyrics by Surendra Rana, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, action direction by Shankar Maharjan, cinematography by Dipen Basnyat, editing by Gautam Raj Khadka, and will be distributed nationwide by National Cine Group Nepal Pvt. Ltd. through Deepak Dangal.
