Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film Masterni, presented by Ayanka Films, have unveiled two new official posters following the positive response to the previously released solo poster featuring actress Priyanka Karki.
The first poster highlights Priyanka Karki alongside Simran Khadka, with Priyanka embracing Simran in an emotional moment. The visual hints at the film’s mother-daughter relationship, suggesting an emotionally driven narrative at its core.
The second poster features the film’s three lead characters—Priyanka Karki, Pramod Agrahari, and Simran Khadka. A Nepal Police crime scene tape prominently displayed in the background creates the impression of an ongoing criminal investigation, while images of missing persons add an element of mystery. The tagline, “She didn’t choose crime; she only chose her daughter,” suggests that a mother’s desperate attempt to protect her child lies at the heart of the story. Together, the poster strongly indicates that Masterni is a crime thriller with emotional depth.

Directed by Shubhendu Ghosh, Masterni is produced by Priyanka Karki, Cabinet Shrestha, Ayushman Joshi, and Pranit Karki. The film features an ensemble cast including Aryan Sigdel, Saroj Khanal, Gauri Malla, Pramod Agrahari, Richa Sharma, Anup Bikram Shahi, Simran Khadka, Raksha Thapa, and Dinesh Kafle.
Surakshya Singh Malhotra serves as the executive producer, while Simos Sunuwar is the creative producer. The story is written by Priyanka Karki, with the screenplay by Shan Basnet and dialogues jointly penned by Priyanka Karki and Basnet. The cinematography is handled by Yuvraj Indoriya, with editing by Raja Singh Sidhu.
The production team plans to release Masterni simultaneously in Nepali and multiple other languages. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 21, 2026 (Bhadra 5).
