Kathmandu — The rumor that actor Kedar Prasad Ghimire, popularly known as ‘Magnet Budha’, received a payment of 6.1 million rupees (NPR) for the movie Magne Raja had been heating up discussions in the market and became a topic of debate in the film industry.
Amidst this, ‘Magne Budha’ himself clarified, saying, “The claim that I was paid 6.1 million is not true; the production team said that just for publicity purposes.”
Following this statement, the claim that Magne Budha was paid 6 million rupees has been proven false. Regarding the matter of money, Magne Budha himself stated, “They said I was paid 6.1 million just to promote the film, but I never received that amount. I even told them not to spread such rumors, but the production team said it would create hype and help with publicity. Still, I didn’t get paid that much. Now everywhere I go, people are only talking about the 6 million, which makes me feel disappointed.”
He had actually agreed to a payment of 3.5 million rupees for the film, with a contract stating he would receive additional incentives if the movie performed well. However, Magne Budha appears dissatisfied as discussions about his role have been reduced to just the amount of money involved.
