Kathmandu — The trailer of the upcoming Nepali film Guru Aama, slated for release on May 8 (Baisakh 25), has been officially unveiled. The trailer was launched on Thursday during an event held at Ranjana Cineplex in New Road, Kathmandu, and has been uploaded on Prem Sony Sunar’s official YouTube channel.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the film’s core theme, highlighting the importance of a teacher and the impact they have on students’ lives. It portrays the message delivered by a गुरु (teacher) and explores the stories of students, emphasizing the value of guidance and mentorship. The film’s teaser and posters had already been released earlier.
Veteran actress Mithila Sharma appears in the titular role of Guru Aama, alongside a cast that includes Gauri Malla, Buddhi Tamang, and Tika Sanu.
The film is written, directed, and produced by Prem Sony Sunar. As the release date approaches, director Sunar said the team is actively engaged in promotions and is highly excited about the project. Speaking to Artist Khabar, he described the film’s subject as deeply meaningful, adding that it carries a message that everyone—teachers, students, and parents alike—should experience at least once, as it has the potential to inspire significant change in life.
