Teej Song of Upcoming Nepali Film Akshara Filmed at Uttarbahini Temple

Kathmandu: The Teej song titled “Nachaun Na Bari Lai” from the upcoming Nepali film Akshara has been filmed at the scenic Uttarbahini Temple in Gokarna, Kathmandu. The shooting took place on Monday, with the temple premises specially decorated to create an attractive festive atmosphere for the sequence.

The song features vocals by Samikshya Adhikari, music by Karnaraj Giri, and lyrics by Surendra Rana. Recorded at Studio Tasa, the track has arrangement, mixing, and mastering by Bijeshwor Raj Tandukar.

The music video stars the film’s lead actors Rista Basnet, Nancy Khadka, and Sushil Sitoula, while the choreography has been handled by renowned choreographer Ramji Lamichhane.

Presented by Kshit Babu Production House, Akshara is scheduled for release on September 11 (Bhadra 26). The film features an ensemble cast including Sushil Sitoula, Nancy Khadka, Sushil Pokharel, Pushkar Raut, Rista Adhikari, Anshu Maharjan, Gita Adhikari, Birendra Kushwaha, and Srijana Adhikari. Child artists Ronak Khadka and Prisa Dhungana also appear in the film.

The film’s executive producer is Suraj Thapakaji, while Ugrasen Dhungana and Sugrasen Dhungana serve as producers. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Abhimanyu Nirabi, with lyrics by Surendra Rana and music composed by Karnaraj Giri.

Cinematography is being handled by Dipen Basnyat, while Ramji Lamichhane serves as choreographer and Shankar Maharjan as action director. The technical team also includes Madan Nyaupane (make-up), Prarthana Bhattarai (costume design), and Suman Kafle (production management).

The film’s poster has been designed by Rakesh Dahal, and it will be distributed by Dipak Dangal through National Cine Group Nepal. Diwas Bohara is the chief assistant director, while Manoj Bohara serves as assistant director.

Director Binayraj Poudel, who has previously worked as an assistant director on dozens of Nepali films, is making his directorial debut with Akshara. Following years of experience in the industry, he is stepping into independent filmmaking through this project.
