“The aggressive business of ‘Mohar’ excites Pal, Niti, and Benisha”

Kathmandu — The film Mohar, which was released on Friday, has been performing aggressively at the box office. While the movie had an average opening on Friday, its business surged on Saturday. Although the morning shows on Saturday were average, audience turnout increased from midday onwards. Not only in Kathmandu but also in cinemas outside the capital, there was a high influx of viewers for the evening shows. In Nepalgunj, theaters even reduced Hindi film screenings to add more shows of Mohar.

The film is also doing good business in Pokhara, Butwal, and Chitwan. Throughout Saturday, the film’s director Om Pratik, actor Pal Shah, and actresses Benisha Hamal and Niti Shah visited theaters in Kathmandu. At Ashtanarayan Hall in Kathmandu, there was a large crowd of spectators. Actor Pal Shah greeted the audience and thanked them. Actresses Benisha Hamal and Niti Shah said they were excited by the strong audience support and the positive word of mouth.

Today, Sunday, the film is also doing well in business. Occupancy in both Kathmandu and outside the capital remains high. The film’s distributor, Karan Shrestha, said that Mohar has broken the months-long commercial drought for Nepali films. Produced under the banner of Filmmakers Pvt. Ltd., the film was financed by Chumban Jung Shahi.

Meanwhile, actor Pal Shah has traveled to various theaters in the eastern region to meet audiences today, while actresses Benisha Hamal and Niti Shah are visiting theaters in Kathmandu. The film has strong word of mouth, and the production team believes it will continue to receive strong audience support in the coming days.
