Kathmandu. The trailer of the new Nepali film ‘Mitajyu’ has been released. The production team of GM Movies Production unveiled the trailer on Monday during a press conference.
The trailer highlights a deep bond of friendship and rivalry between the film’s lead actors Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla, who portray close friends bound by a “mit” relationship. In the story, both characters work as vehicle drivers on a newly opened rural road and compete with each other to see who can transport passengers faster to their destinations.
Despite their rivalry, their friendship is portrayed in an interesting and emotional way. In one scene, Saugat’s character visits Dayahang’s home carrying a rooster as a gift. The scene takes a humorous turn when the mitini character, played by Teriya Magar, remarks in a rural tone that he should have brought a hen as well.
The trailer also shows a local astrologer advising not to take the mit relationship lightly. The competition between the two friends, their conflicts, and the social dynamics of the village road transport system make the story engaging and dramatic. The film also explores how friendship can be tested and even turn into conflict over time.

Once a traditional practice in Nepal, the mit relationship is deeply studied and presented in the film, and the trailer reflects its emotional and cultural significance.
The film is produced by Janak Gharti Magar and is based on a rural setting. It features Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, and Teriya Fouja Magar in lead roles, along with Pushkar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Raj Thapa, Suvarna Thapa, Anu Thapa, Smita Lamichhane, Arun Pun Magar, Uttamraj Pandey, Sabin Kattel, Umesh Sonam, Pabitra Khadka, Chahana Rana Magar, Anusha Rai, and Khadkabhadur Pun Magar (Khapbu), among others.
This film marks the acting debut of Teriya Magar as a lead actress. Additionally, actress Rusha Neupane is featured in a special dance performance in one of the songs.
Directed by Anil Budha Magar, the film includes editing by Lokesh Bajracharya, cinematography by Shishir Binsingh, and music composed by Shreekrishna Bam Malla. The songs are sung by Shreekrishna Bam Malla, Melina Rai, and Laxmi Malla, with Phiroj Khadka as the chief assistant director.
Distributed by RR Films, the digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital. The film is set to release nationwide in Nepal on Jestha 8. Internationally, screening rights have already been sold out in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malta, Singapore, and Poland, ahead of its release.
