Aa Bata Aama Receives Universal Certificate, Censorship Board Praises Emotional Story

Kathmandu. The Nepali film Aa Bata Aama, which is set to release nationwide this Friday, has successfully passed the censorship process and received a Universal Certificate from the Central Film Censorship Board.

Members of the Censorship Board became emotional while watching the film, praising its powerful narrative and heartfelt presentation. Senior journalist and board member Kuber Giri described the story as engaging and deeply moving, stating that he found himself emotional multiple times while watching the film. He noted that although several films have previously been made on the theme of motherhood, Aa Bata Aama presents the subject in a fresh and distinctive manner.

Another board member, Sampurna Shrestha, also lauded the film, calling it an excellent example of a strong family-oriented Nepali movie. Highlighting the improving quality of Nepali cinema in recent times, he urged audiences to watch the film in theaters.

Following the overwhelmingly positive response from the Censorship Board, the film’s production team has expressed strong confidence and excitement. Despite the ongoing election atmosphere, the film continues to generate strong buzz among audiences.

Songs from the film, including “Laija Khabar Ae Hawa” and “Jandai Chu Nau Danda Katera,” have also received positive feedback and have collectively surpassed 3 million views on YouTube, further adding to the film’s growing popularity.

Produced under the banner of Arya Entertainment, Aa Bata Aama is directed by Chandra Pant, who also wrote the story and screenplay. The film stars Bipana Thapa, Paul Shah, Pradeep Rawat, Usha Upreti, Simran Pant, among others.
