Kathmandu: The song “Nepal Haseko” from the movie Laj Sharanam was released yesterday. The song features the voice of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah. He also composed the music and wrote the lyrics for the song. The song reflects the current state and development of Nepal. Within a few hours of its release, it has already made it to the trending list and, by the time the news was prepared, it was trending at number 2 on YouTube.
The video of the song, choreographed by Ghambeer Bisht, features performances by Arjun Ghimire, Mahesh Tripathi, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niroula, Babin Rai, Gajit Bisht, Rambabu Regmi, Ayushi Dhakal, and Sanu Pandey. This is the first time that Balen Shah has released a song since becoming mayor. He had not sung any songs after taking office. The production team is confident that the song will further enhance the hype for Laj Sharanam. Just a few days ago, the movie also released another song titled “Herda Herda Ma.”
In the comments section of the song, there are more praises for Balen Shah than the film itself. Comments like “We want to see Balen Shah as Prime Minister in 2084,” “Balen Shah is the ray of hope for us,” and “No one else can build the country except Balen” are flooding in.
