Kathmandu – Popular singer Karan Rai is currently on a musical tour in Australia. The winner of The Voice of Nepal Season 4, Karan has created a huge buzz with his performances at concerts held during the Nepali New Year celebrations. He has also been honored in Australia. Alongside his concerts, Karan is busy attending meet-and-greet events with Nepali fans and audiences residing there.
Last Saturday evening in Albury, New South Wales, Karan enthralled the audience with dozens of his hit songs. The concert, named Karan Rai Night, saw hundreds of attendees dancing and enjoying his energetic performance. Responding to continuous chants of “once more” and cheers from the audience, Karan performed non-stop for around three hours.
One of the highlights of the event was a special ceremony honoring emerging talents in the field of sports, held in the presence of Karan Rai. Athletes under the age of 15 as well as former members of the Bhutanese national football team were honored by Karan himself. He also extended his best wishes to the honorees. Damar Chhetri, president of the Bhutanese Australian Community Support Group in Albury, shared insights about the success of the program.
Similarly, a few days earlier, another grand concert was held in Tasmania, Australia, organized by the Creative Journey Foundation. At that event, Karan gave a lively one-and-a-half-hour performance that had the audience dancing with joy. During the concert, the foundation’s president, Obeth Rai, presented Karan with a token of honor. Karan expressed that the love he received in Australia has inspired him to create new musical works.
