Kathmandu- The trailer of the multi-starrer film ‘Dori’ has been released on YouTube. The trailer, unveiled at a press conference on Sunday, sheds light on the storyline and character portrayal. From the trailer, it is evident that the film’s narrative revolves around money and a rope (dori). These two elements create conflict and intertwine with the characters. The film, woven in a thriller and comedy style, has its screenplay written and direction handled by Arun Lama.
The film features a mix of experienced and debutant actors, including Prabin Khatiwada, Shishir Bandel, Virendra Singh Kushwaha, Prakash Ghimire, Arun Lama, Anjana Baraili, Raj Paudel, Kabita Ale, Raj Thapa, Nutan, and others. This is Lama’s first feature film, after directing short films and documentaries. Director Lama mentioned that ‘Dori’ presents a new style of storytelling in Nepali cinema.
The film is based on the story of a struggling youth who takes risky decisions to ease his financial burdens and gets trapped in a vicious cycle. According to Lama, the film presents humor, suspense, and struggle in an interesting way.
